Today folks, i almost gave a kiss and a hug to my mailman after he handed me 2 big parcels sent by 2 brothers, one from Beebe Arkansas USA from Ron Wisdom and the other one from Abbottsford BC Canada from Rod True.

I signed the delivery papers and rushed to my shop where, alone with my opened parcels, tears of joy poured down my face.

I was really touched by such kindness from my brothers that i wished i was closer to both so i could thank them in person, after the last 2 weeks i had, it gave new meaning to Christmas! Thanks to both of you Ron and Rod, i'm really gonna try to make you proud of my future work with these great gifts!

An inflatable sanding drum with a lifetime supply of sanding (rolls or sleeves?) from Brother Ron!


And a Chistmas letter that was inside the box!


A very beautiful set of curly maple with an extra set of side from Brother Rod


That must have made the mailman smile!


And Rod included the full plan and template for the J-200 that i will build with the curly maple!

I'll never forget how great i felt today guys, many many thanks to both of you!

Ho, Ho, Ho

I thought it was lost in the mail, Serge! So glad you got it. Now you can glue your wife's rolling pin back together before she notices it's missing.    If the glue line shows, you can do an inlay aroung the middle and just tell her that you were decorating it for her for Christmas.

Cool, I'm glad that the package got there alright. I'm always worried about shipping wood, but it was packaged up good and tight.

Yes Ron, I love to give. The next couple of guitars that I plan on making are going to be gifts.

One will be for my father-in-law for his 60th birthday and the other will be for my day job mentor. They have both given me so much that I felt this was a small token of my appreciation for them.

As for the J-200 plans, I got the template from the MIMF library. Can't remember where I got the plans from, their ok plans, but Michael makes a better plan I think. Don't know if he'd be interested in making a J-200 set of plans for the OLF. Everything you need is on the plans, but you can't print them to scale very easily.

2 Santa Bear for the Bear!

Gotta hurry and return the dough roller before she notices it disapeared otherwise i'll be turning into a Teddy Fried Rice! Mamma Bear is quite mad when i mess with her Kitchen stuff!

Very cool bunch of people on the OLF.

Congratulations Rod and Ron for setting such a great example of generosity, love and respect for your fellow man as we head into the new year.

I am touched as I am sure we all have been over the past year, by the many examples of generosity, love and caring for our fellow brothers and sisters.

When I started participating on OLF I was excited to learn there was a place where people could and would share their guitar building experiences. A place where I could learn from others successes, as well as challenges.

What a great bonus to have a place where we can also learn important lessons on life, through examples like this one, and many others over the year.

What a truly unique community this has become. We continue to learn - not only how to improve our guitar building skills but lessons like respect, love, caring and in general fellowship.

Looking forward to these continued lessons as we move into the new year.

Wishing all of you a healthy, happy and prosperous new year.

VERY COOL INDEED !! You two givers are fine examples of how great a place the OLF is ! I can't get over how this place has become just like one huge family! Way to go Rod and Ron!
